Job Summary of Grocery Meat Clerk:

Grocery Meat Clerk are responsible for keeping the pre-packaged meat section well stocked and orderly in appearance.Grocery Meat Clerk will order and unload product, stock shelves and build displays; as required.Grocery Meat Clerk will maintain a clean work area, follow all safety rules and perform other tasks as assigned.Other tasks to be performed may be in a meat prep area.They must be familiar with store products and their locations in order to assist customers.

Responsibilities of Grocery Meat Clerk:

• Aid in the proper packaging and labeling of meat items for consumer consumption
• Arrange meat cabinets and uphold attractive product presentations through restocking
• Ensure accurate measurement, pricing, and packaging of assorted meat products
• Keep products fresh by consistently rotating them and promptly removing any expired items from inventory
• Ensure that the meat counters, tools, and equipment are consistently sanitized to prevent cross-contamination
• Assist in the proper unloading and storage of meat shipments
