Role and Responsibilities of Customer Service Associate:
As a Customer Service Associate, your key responsibilities include providing fast, versatile, and friendly customer service, as well as supporting department managers in upholding operational and merchandising standards. Your main focus is on enhancing the customer shopping experience and ensuring adherence to food safety regulations.
- Offer outstanding customer service at the front end, which includes scanning items, bagging purchases, and keeping the checkout areas organized.
- Provide swift and precise service to customers utilizing Food Lion To Go.
- Preserve the appropriate levels of products, cleanliness practices, and safe food handling procedures within the Produce, Deli/Bakery/HMS, Perishable, and Grocery departments.
- Execute equipment functions in a safe manner, such as operating pallet jacks, slicers, and cash registers.
- Stock shelves according to company standards, lifting up to 70 lbs and pushing/pulling pallets weighing up to 2,000 lbs.
- Transfer empty bottles and containers from the front section to the backroom where applicable.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, guidelines for food safety, and store procedures as required.
- Support in handling diverse tasks delegated by management to uphold operational continuity.
Required Skills and Experience of Customer Service Associate:
- Enhancing communication effectiveness and customer service capabilities.
- Proficiency and openness to mastering different tasks and technical skills.
- Meet the necessary age qualifications for designated job functions.
- Competency in handling physical requirements, such as lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs, standing for the duration of shifts, and working with cleaning and packaging supplies.
- Proficient operation of computers and other communication systems is essential to execute job functions.
- Be diligent about precision while performing repetitive movements with your hands and arms.
