Job Summary of Meat Department Crew Member:

As a Meat Department Crew Member, you are responsible for providing friendly and efficient service to customers, assisting with inquiries, preparing and handling meat products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You help maintain a clean and organized work environment and support team members in daily operations.

Responsibilities of Meat Department Crew Member:

• Consistently follow all company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

• Interact with all colleagues in a manner that upholds fairness, dignity, and respect for each individual.
• Strengthen proficiency in product information within the meat section, specifically focusing on cooking methods.
• Support with distinct initiatives and complete other tasks as assigned by the manager.
• Provide assistance with training for other associates.
• Comply with the company's personal grooming policy to maintain a clean and polished appearance.
• Preserve a culture of effective communication in the department and throughout the organization.
• Abide by the safety measures implemented by the company. Inform designated personnel about any equipment repairs or maintenance needed. Ensure a safe and clean work environment by eliminating debris and hazards.
• Watch and sustain the company's cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Engage in any other tasks as specified.
• Give exceptional customer assistance through engaging with and aiding customers in product selection.
• Conform to the approved methods for identifying, wrapping, pricing, and measuring the weight of all meat department items.
• Maintain proper rotation protocols when restocking the fresh, frozen, and self-service displays.
• Offer support to butchers by assisting with tasks such as scraping and arranging products on trays, cutting steaks into smaller portions, and grinding meat for various uses.
• Receive meat shipment, assign identification code, reorganize, and place in the designated storage zone.
• Conduct a detailed hygiene procedure by washing, rinsing, and sanitizing cases, wrapping stations, scaling equipment, coolers, and cutting spaces, including the necessary step of dismantling and reassembling relevant equipment.

• Meeting the minimum age criteria is compulsory.
• Excelling in customer service necessitates strong communication capabilities.
• Manifested ability and enthusiasm to familiarize oneself with various tasks and technical specifications essential for the role.

Physical Requirements of Meat Department Crew Member:

• Lift cases or packages of meat products weighing 1-40lb. frequently and 100 lb. on occasion.
• Meet established volume activity standards.
• Stand or walk 100% of the time while working in temperatures of 45 degrees F the majority of the time.
• Perform repetitive grasping, twisting, reaching and hand/arm motions as the product is identified, wrapped, priced and weighed.
• Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials and meat products.
• Frequent bending.
