Job Summary of Pharmacist:

This role oversees the accurate processing of prescriptions while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, ethical standards, and company policies. It involves delivering exceptional customer service and patient counseling related to prescription, OTC medications, and emerging healthcare needs. The position acts as a liaison between the store, healthcare professionals, patients, and regulatory authorities, contributing to the growth and success of the pharmacy department.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Pharmacist:

• Process prescriptions accurately or supervise prescription processing in compliance with laws and company standards.
• Provide outstanding customer service and patient counseling on prescription and OTC medications.
• Serve as liaison between the pharmacy, healthcare providers, patients, and law enforcement.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations and company policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and company information.
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including regulatory compliance and staff supervision.
• Participate in financial management, including sales growth, margin maximization, inventory, payroll, and expense control.
• Promote pharmacy business growth through community engagement and company initiatives.
• Administer immunizations according to company standards.
• Train and develop pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, reporting maintenance needs promptly.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with store leadership and healthcare providers.
• Foster a positive work environment to retain associates and customers.
• Complete special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience of Pharmacist:

• Degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Current and valid pharmacy license in good standing in practicing state(s).
• Active immunizing pharmacist certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Successful completion of criminal background check and drug testing as required.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations.
