Job Summary:Clinical Pharmacy Technician

Job Qualification:

• Open to applicants with varying levels of experience, from fresh entrants to those with 6 months of exposure
• Educational mandate: The minimum educational requirement is the attainment of a high school diploma or an equivalent credential
• The pharmacy certification is the recommended accreditation for pharmacy professionals
• Capacity: Lifting should be limited to a maximum of 25 pounds
• Age restriction: 18 years and above

Job Responsibilities:

• Patients should feel welcomed and acknowledged with compassion and kindness as they enter the pharmacy.
• Lead by showcasing exceptional patient care through demonstrating respect, actively engaging, and enthusiastically fulfilling or surpassing all patient needs. This includes processing orders face-to-face or via phone, guiding patients to products, and referring relevant questions about prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs to the pharmacist.
• Ensure a well-organized work environment to meet the expectations of both the company and regulatory agencies.
• Help coordinate activities among team members to optimize the functioning of the department.
• Maximize the efficiency of pharmacy operations and ensure optimal patient care by utilizing the pharmacy software for tasks such as drop-off, will-call, drive-thru, phone services, prescription filling, and order reception. This includes activities like locating patient records, determining fill and pickup dates, identifying prescriptions for Central Fill, quoting prices for prescriptions, checking medication quantities, and inputting financial data accurately.
• Aid the team in formulating strategies that focus on improving results through the application of appropriate service and business metrics.
• Collaborate in the implementation of all business initiatives and activities.
• Fulfill the requisite training program and its corresponding evaluations.
• Comply with all company, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations, which encompass HIPAA and protocols for Pseudoephedrine transactions.
• Wrap up sales using the cash register based on established protocols and point of sale policies.
• Accurately transcribe prescription details to create a tailor-made label for the customer.
• Support in inventory control by ensuring proper levels through ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating drugs and supplies in line with company policy.
• Address telephone conversations with courtesy and timeliness, confirming the precision of data shared and aiming to leave customers satisfied.
• Effectively communicate with customers and internal teams to resolve questions and address concerns promptly.
• Record daily prescriptions in writing.
