Role and Responsibilities

As a Produce Merchandiser, you will support daily operations in the produce department and provide friendly, knowledgeable service. Your responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with the department manager to meet the established goals for sales and profitability.
• Manage and sustain quality control measures for every type of produce.
• Cultivate a departmental setting that is safe, tidy, and structured to enrich the customer journey and experience.
• Ensure optimal freshness and visual appeal of fresh produce through stocking, rotating, and presenting them effectively.
• Establish rapport with customers through knowledge about products, addressing questions, and making suggestions.
• Abide by the organization's regulations concerning food safety, sanitation practices, and operational guidelines.
• Uphold the Customer 1st strategy and encourage employees to deliver exceptional service experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fulfillment of requirements for a high school diploma or its similar substitute.
• Previous work history in grocery, produce, or food-related fields.
• Acquiring proficiency in the handling of fresh produce, practicing FIFO to maintain product freshness, and creating visually appealing product presentations are vital competencies for individuals in the fresh food industry.
• Ability to effectively engage in multilingual conversations.
