Role and Responsibilities:
The Grocery Store Helper plays an important role in delivering a positive customer experience by providing fast, accurate, and friendly service at checkout. This role focuses on careful grocery handling, assisting customers, and maintaining an organized front-end area. Responsibilities include:
- Greet, assist, and thank customers with courtesy and professionalism.
- Unload customer items at checkout and bag them properly to prevent damage.
- Assist customers with loading groceries into vehicles when needed.
- Retrieve and organize carts from the parking lot and store perimeter.
- Verify product pricing across store departments when requested.
- Replenish and use front-end supplies responsibly to minimize waste.
- Return misplaced or unwanted items to the correct department.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized checkout lanes and cart areas.
- Report hazards, equipment issues, or suspicious behavior to management.
- Support loss prevention by reporting theft or policy violations.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by store leadership.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Must meet the company’s minimum age requirement.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
- Capable of following both written and verbal directions.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screening.

- Frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions while retrieving carts.
