Job Summary of Grocery Sales Associate:

This position focuses on maintaining well stocked, organized, and customer friendly grocery shelves while ensuring merchandise is fresh, accessible, and properly displayed to meet customer demand and sales goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Grocery Sales Associate:

• Stock, rotate, and organize merchandise to ensure freshness and visual appeal.
• Build displays to drive incremental sales and maintain product accessibility.
• Assist customers by answering questions and resolving concerns professionally.
• Apply proper stocking techniques and ensure accurate pricing and signage.
• Receive, unload, and store deliveries using power jacks or hand jacks (if trained).
• Handle damaged or discontinued items in compliance with company policy.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, shelves, equipment, and display cases following sanitation standards.
• Comply with productivity, safety, and shrink control standards and regulations.
• Assist with tasks such as baling cardboard when properly trained.
• Collaborate with co-workers and support other departments as needed.

Qualifications and Experience of Grocery Sales Associate:

• High school diploma or GED completed or in progress.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to follow stocking procedures and safety protocols.
• Customer service mindset and effective communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and assist in multiple areas of the store.
