Role and Responsibilities:

As a Seafood Handler, you will assist customers, prepare and package fresh products, and maintain department standards. Your responsibilities include:

• Carry out the packaging, labeling, and stocking of meat and seafood goods.
• Enforce compliance with quality and freshness regulations for all products and respond accordingly to expiration dates.
• Maintain and operate department equipment, including refrigerators, freezers, and slicers, in accordance with prescribed company procedures.
• Verify and log the temperatures of both the case and cooler; adhere to the required food safety guidelines for optimal food preservation.
• Sustain the correct Country of Origin Tags on all meat and seafood products.
• Organize, mark, and keep track of products as instructed.
• Inform the department manager about any discrepancies, ordering challenges, or safety worries.
• Abide by the regulations set forth by local, state, and federal authorities, as well as company policies concerning safety and food safety protocols.
• Strengthen safety protocols by pinpointing unsafe environments and reporting them to the appropriate authorities.
• Aid in the upkeep of equipment through regular inspections and the identification of issues for prompt repairs.
• Stay informed about seasonal and promotional ads.
