Role and Responsibilities:
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items for cold cases, fresh packs, salad bars, and hot bars while maintaining presentation and sanitation standards. You will ensure consistency, freshness, and excellent customer service in alignment with Whole Foods Market's values and food safety standards.
Engage in the preparation of food items intended for cold presentations, freshly packed assortments, salad setups, and hot selections by consulting production charts and recipe specifications.
Adhere to guidelines by labeling, dating, covering, monitoring, and rotating all prepared items to ensure quality and freshness.
Maintain awareness of food levels and restock items promptly.
Be punctual, maintain suitable grooming, and be prepared for scheduled work shifts; attend mandatory trainings and meetings.
Provide superior customer service, promptly address customer requirements, and model effective sales strategies.
Elevate sales effectiveness by ensuring products are appropriately prepped, stored, rotated, restocked, and merchandised.
Comply with established procedures for Weights and Measures, sanitation standards, and the implementation of safe work practices.
Ensure a clean and hygienic work and shopping setting; verify that machinery, storage areas, and freezers meet cleanliness requirements.
Accomplish opening, mid-shift, and closing duties to uphold the accuracy of signs and pricing information.
Report immediately any safety hazards and breaches encountered.
Complete additional tasks as mandated by leadership at different organizational levels.

Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly compensation ranges from $16.50 to $30.20, based on experience and a 40-hour workweek.
