Job Summary of Seafood Manager:

The position involves hands-on tasks such as customer service, inventory management, and staff supervision, along with implementing merchandising plans to drive sales.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Seafood Manager:

• Promote excellent customer relations by encouraging positive, customer-focused behavior among associates.
• Handle customer orders, ensuring products meet their specifications and are created in a timely manner.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure the proper storage and replenishment of products to meet demand.
• Schedule, train, and evaluate seafood associates, ensuring work assignments maximize productivity and profitability.
• Develop and implement localized merchandising plans, ensuring products are well-displayed and promotional items are prioritized.
• Prepare inventory records and inspect seafood deliveries to maintain product quality and proper rotation.
• Control department expenses by improving operations and minimizing product loss, including shrinkage and spoilage.
• Ensure the seafood department is always well-stocked, appealing, and meets customer requirements.
• Weigh and wrap merchandise, ensuring product quality and applying proper labeling.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations, and promoting 5S procedures in backroom areas.
• Utilize company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure safety standards are met.
• Assist other departments when needed, contributing to overall store efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience of Seafood Manager:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in business or food service-related field is desirable.
• A minimum of 3 years of management experience in a retail, restaurant, or supermarket environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Experience with inventory management, product rotation, and quality control.
