Job Summary of Customer Service Representative:

As a Customer Service Associate, you are responsible for providing friendly and efficient service to customers, assisting with inquiries, processing transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You help maintain a clean and organized work environment and support team members in daily operations.

Responsibilities of Customer Service Representative:

  • Render exceptional and warm customer service.
  • Observe and abide by all company policies and established protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness at the register stations on a daily basis and be prepared to promptly address any spills or breakages that may happen.
  • Uphold a neat and professionally groomed appearance consistently in line with company policies on personal presentation.
  • Help out with distinct tasks and undertake other functions as directed by management.
  • Abide by the company's management planning framework to support and enhance productivity outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with all company safety standards and promptly communicate any equipment repair or maintenance requirements. Keep the work area clear of any debris or hazards to uphold safety protocols.
  • Every associate should be treated fairly and with respect for their dignity.
  • Complete a thorough evaluation of prices.
  • Supervise the consumption of store necessities, like ribbons, transaction paper, packaging materials, and cleaning resources.
  • Take on the responsibility of sweeping floors while the store is open and contribute to maintaining cleanliness by assisting with tasks like cleaning break rooms and restrooms as needed.
  • Support in the speedy cleanup of spills and breakage of glass or plastic containers to mitigate hazards and enhance safety measures.
  • Follow security guidelines by staying observant and being conscious of customers' behavior and interactions.
  • Alert the appropriate authorities regarding any abnormal behavior witnessed.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly appearance for both the interior and exterior sections of the store.
  • Manage refillable containers as per vendor requirements.
  • Undertake all other tasks as directed.
  • Greet and promptly assist customers with courteous and attentive service.
  • Comply with company policies when preparing merchandise for packaging.
  • Return products to their regular shelf positions, paying special attention to perishable and refrigerated items.
  • Assemble shopping carts and transport them to designated zones for pick up and drop off.
  • Conduct carryout service in line with the standards set by the company.
  • Input bottle returns into the system using a cash register or bottle slip to provide customers with precise and efficient service.
  • Make sure to meet all safety requirements when using the bottle crushing equipment.
  • Expected to meet the physical standards of the job, regardless of any necessary accommodations.

Qualifications of Customer Service Representative:

Physical Requirements of Customer Service Representative:

  • Use hands frequently/continuously , grasping, reaching and hand/arm motions while standing the majority of the shift.
  • Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Push or pull up to 75 pounds on occasion.
  • Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials, fresh fruits, vegetables, house plants/flowers and household cleaners.
  • Work in and out of inclement weather when necessary
  • Gather up to five shopping carts and push them to designated areas.
  • BOTTLES where applicable: Move empty bottles and containers from the front end to the back room.
