Role and Responsibilities of Supermarket Manager:
Supporting store operations to meet financial and sales goals and creating strong connections with associates and customers
Be in charge of the Grocery Department's management, including the recruitment, training, and advancement of team members.
Supervise the department's performance, provide guidance, and conduct official reviews.
Administer daily labor coordination to support operational productivity objectives.

Regulate store expenses by enhancing the ordering process, overseeing supplies, and maintaining equipment carefully.

Sustain the department's visual presentation, safety procedures, sanitation practices, and food safety requirements.
Produce detailed schedules to secure comprehensive coverage for outstanding customer care throughout the day.
Govern the overseeing of ordering, receiving, preparing, and showcasing merchandise.
Supervise and coach associates on strategies to minimize losses.
Provide assistance in conducting semiannual inventory checks to verify the accuracy of product counts.
Ensure that advertising and signage practices comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Adhere to safety protocols and promptly notify authorities of any incidents involving associates and clients.
Accomplish the necessary Computer-Based Training (CBT) duties and other mandatory training programs.

Required Skills and Experience of Supermarket Manager:
Ideal candidates will have completed high school or achieved an equivalent standard of education.

Perform operations related to ordering, markdowns, and inventory management using handheld devices.
Be upright for extended periods and frequently cover short distances via walking.
Employ a pallet jack or float to transfer loads up to 2000 lbs. through either pushing or pulling motions.
Bend and raise weights of up to 15 lbs. as part of the routine, with 25 lbs. frequently and a maximum of 100 lbs. occasionally.
Execute repetitive hand and arm motions, which may include reaching and holding tasks.
Handle hygiene supplies, wrapping materials, and household disinfectants.
Carry out duties in environments with elevated or decreased temperatures for up to 20 minutes.
Adhere to the accepted norms for volume expectations and task execution.
