Role and Responsibilities of Store Operations Manager:

Providing leadership to ensure that policies are followed and customers receive exceptional service

• Lead the Grocery Department through tasks like hiring, educating, and empowering associates.
• Monitor the department's effectiveness, offer coaching, and conduct formal assessments.
• Oversee daily labor utilization and uphold productivity standards.
• Uphold a culture that champions exceptional customer care as a key component in ensuring a favorable shopping experience.
• Keep a lid on store costs by enhancing the efficiency of ordering systems, monitoring supplies, and caring for equipment diligently.
• Employ corporate instruments such as financial statements, ACIS platforms, CAO supervision, scheduling tools, and enterprise information systems.
• Guarantee that the department meets the standards for appearance, safety, sanitation, and food safety.
• Draft systematic timetables to guarantee uninterrupted availability for exceptional customer service.
• Coordinate the handling of orders, deliveries, preparations, and exhibitions of items.
• Watch for shrink and give constructive feedback to employees on preventing losses.
• Support the semiannual verification of inventory quantities for precise tracking of products.
• Uphold compliance with advertising and signage rules mandated by local, state, and federal jurisdictions.
• Abide by security standards and promptly report any accidents involving employees and customers.
• Meet the requirements for fulfilling Computer-Based Training (CBT) and any other necessary training obligations.
• Celebrate successes and give constructive coaching as needed.
• Complete any extra assignments as designated.

Required Skills and Experience of Store Operations Manager:

• It is recommended to have a high school diploma or a comparable credential.
• Exceptional competency in interpersonal interactions, organization, effective communication, and delivering exceptional customer support.
• Prior experience with store operations is preferred.
• Proficiency in adapting to different tasks and technical competencies needed for the role.
• Ability to solve problems and make efficient use of technical information.
• Demonstrating leadership skills through the ability to direct and guide others effectively.
• It is a requirement to satisfy the minimum age conditions for certain job duties.
• The job requires the incumbent to possess a Certified Food Safety Manager certification or be capable of obtaining it within a 90-day period of being recruited, with the obligation to maintain this certification throughout their time in the position.

Physical Requirements of Store Operations Manager:

• Capability to leverage computers and communication systems effectively in the workplace.
• Work with portable devices for the purposes of placing orders, applying markdowns, and monitoring inventory levels.
• Sustain standing for long periods while commonly traveling short distances on foot.
• With the assistance of a pallet jack or float, effortlessly handle objects up to 2000 lbs. by pushing or pulling them into place.
• Lifting and bending tasks involve products weighing up to 15 lbs. without interruption, 25 lbs. frequently, and a maximum of 100 lbs. on occasion.
• Perform recurrent gestures with the hands and arms, such as reaching and grasping actions.
• Administer cleaning solutions, packaging resources, and home sanitizing agents.
• Tolerate working in either hot or cold climates for up to 20 minutes consecutively.
• Reach the defined targets for volume output and task completion.
• Adequate visual ability required for accurately perceiving invoices, dates, and various paperwork.
