In the role of the Frozen Department Clerk, the individual assists the Dairy/Frozen Manager in ensuring the Dairy/Frozen department operates successfully and profitably. Responsibilities include stocking, rotating, and managing products in the dairy and frozen departments to maintain freshness, availability, and visual attractiveness. Tasks involve receiving deliveries, checking expiry dates, organizing displays, and ensuring accurate pricing and labeling.

• Aiding in the management of orders for the dairy and frozen departments, while also maintaining precise inventory levels.

• Ensuring that the conditions of all in-stock items comply with the company's expectations.
• Managing special requests and maintaining communication regarding them.
• Merchandise racks, endcap units, and vibrant display arrangements.
• Assisting in supervising and participating in marking, displaying, relocating, tidying, reducing prices, restocking, and organizing back-up inventory.
• Supervising and tracking the progress of department staff as they carry out assigned tasks.
• During active demonstrations, presenters actively seek feedback and answer questions, while passive demos are more focused on displaying the product features.
• Assisting department managers in addressing and resolving performance issues within the department.
• Assisting in the smooth running of store opening and closing operations, which includes handling tasks like generating the Daily Sales Report (DSR), managing cash transactions, and completing cashier closeout responsibilities.
• Engaging in register activities involves supervising backup cashiers, processing customer refunds, resolving customer issues, and managing register shift substitutions, which may include covering scheduled breaks.
• Preserving the safety and security of clients and staff.
• Providing responses to customer inquiries based on company standards, potentially incorporating health-supportive statements or references to nutritional advantages.
• Perpetually growing expertise in products.
• Utilizing SAP and inventory management software, alongside the use of email and other relevant information systems programs.
• The role involves adapting to the store's requirements by working during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Employees are expected to adhere to a 40-hour workweek spread over five days, along with attending compulsory store meetings.
• The position carries a limited scope of manager on duty responsibilities without serving as the main manager on duty at the store.

Qualifications of Frozen Department Clerk:

• Preference is given to individuals who have completed high school, earned a GED, or have an equivalent qualification.
• Ideally, applicants will have spent at least a year working in a grocery or retail setting, with a preference for those with knowledge of natural foods.
• Previous year of supervisory experience is advantageous.
• Obtaining the necessary qualifications in food safety training programs and certifications as dictated by law and adhering to regulations by maintaining up-to-date certifications with proper registration when applicable.
• Skillfully navigating changing priorities while staying dedicated to ongoing responsibilities.
• Foster a sense of immediacy in task execution to enhance productivity.
• Have strong skills in providing excellent customer care.
• Extremely well-coordinated with a meticulous approach to detail.
• Exhibiting proficiency in following directions and seeing tasks through to completion.
