Front End Grocery Clerk

Role and Responsibilities:

The Front End Grocery Clerk plays a key role in creating a positive shopping experience by providing quick, accurate, and friendly service. This position is responsible for carefully bagging groceries, assisting customers with purchases, and maintaining an organized front-end area. Responsibilities include:

• Warmly greet and thank customers while providing prompt assistance.
• Help unload purchases at checkout and bag groceries securely to avoid damage.
• Assist customers with loading groceries into vehicles when requested.
• Collect and return shopping carts from the parking lot and store areas.
• Check product pricing across departments as needed.
• Restock and use front-end supplies efficiently to reduce waste.
• Return misplaced or discarded items to the correct location.
• Maintain clean and safe checkout lanes, cart areas, and workspaces.
• Report equipment problems, hazards, or suspicious activity to management.
• Support loss prevention efforts by reporting theft or improper conduct.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by store leadership.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must meet minimum age requirement set by company policy.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Capable of following written and verbal instructions.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screening.
