Role and Responsibilities:
The Front End Grocery Clerk plays a key role in creating a positive shopping experience by providing quick, accurate, and friendly service. This position is responsible for carefully bagging groceries, assisting customers with purchases, and maintaining an organized front-end area. Responsibilities include:
- Warmly greet and thank customers while providing prompt assistance.
- Help unload purchases at checkout and bag groceries securely to avoid damage.
- Assist customers with loading groceries into vehicles when requested.
- Collect and return shopping carts from the parking lot and store areas.
- Check product pricing across departments as needed.
- Restock and use front-end supplies efficiently to reduce waste.
- Return misplaced or discarded items to the correct location.
- Maintain clean and safe checkout lanes, cart areas, and workspaces.
- Report equipment problems, hazards, or suspicious activity to management.
- Support loss prevention efforts by reporting theft or improper conduct.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by store leadership.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Must meet minimum age requirement set by company policy.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Capable of following written and verbal instructions.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions while collecting carts.
