Qualifications of Grocery Seafood Clerk:

• Individuals interested in applying should be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, and have a fundamental understanding of mathematics, weights, and measures.
• Fulfill assigned duties with dependability and reliability, and be willing to take on other related tasks as necessary.
• Display an outgoing and welcoming attitude; embody positivity and demonstrate the capacity to interact with our customers.
• Have the capacity to handle a flexible work schedule that is subject to changes based on business requirements, which may include working nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Being proficient in communication and having the capacity to work well within a team environment are significant attributes
• Perform regular cleaning tasks in the department; sanitize and maintain cleanliness in the workplace (including surfaces, flooring, walls, display cases, refrigeration units, freezers, etc.).
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations, health standards, precise measuring techniques, and the authorized recipes of the company
• Successful applicants should be able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously and for a total of 8 hours per shift, with a requirement to walk a distance of 2 miles within an 8-hour work period.
• Need to be capable of working in a temperature-controlled environment, and conduct general housekeeping duties within the department; clean and disinfect the work area, which includes tables, flooring, walls, refrigerators, freezers, etc.
• Effective vision is crucial for safely operating sharp tools like knives, bandsaws, grinders, sausage makers, box cutters, wrapping machines, and meat tenderizers.
• Proficient in transporting goods up to 90 lbs in either horizontal or vertical positions, over distances ranging from 4 to 60 feet, for a total of 20 hours.
• Handle a pallet jack to transport pallets in a horizontal direction weighing up to 500 lbs. by applying a force of no more than 85 lbs. over a maximum distance of 100 feet throughout a 5-hour period.
• Move merchandising racks from side to side, supporting loads weighing up to 70 lbs., exerting force up to 25 lbs., over distances of up to 50 feet in a 10-hour shift.
• Have the capacity to handle tables weighing up to 70 lbs, using a force exceeding 35 lbs to move them up to 2 feet within an hour.
