Job Summary of Inventory Manager:
Inventory Manager are responsible for the triumphant operation of their departments and are obligated to execute the Manager on Duty (MOD) duties according to the schedule.
Responsibilities of Inventory Manager:
- Making the provision of exceptional customer service a top priority.

- Thoroughly managing the reception of all arriving merchandise by confirming their dates, ensuring their accuracy, and inspecting for any damage.
- Supervising the scanning process for incoming and outgoing products.

- Efficient and accurate management of purchase order processing, return purchase orders, mispicks, invoices, and paperwork in a timely manner.
- Evaluating and managing all divergences in the information gathered.
- Holding discussions with department heads about challenges with receiving orders and products not available from vendors.
- Tracking the status of personalized requests that have been made.
- Using a forklift and pallet jack as essential to tasks.
- Organizing and tidying up the back-of-house storage facilities.
- Guaranteeing that all available products meet the company's quality benchmarks.
- Coordinating the training and monitoring of department staff, with a focus on task delegation and progress tracking.
- Partnering with peers in other departments to enhance staff competencies through cross-functional training.
- Helping with interviewing and hiring activities to address the needs of the department.
- Assisting the store manager in addressing performance and disciplinary issues within the department promptly.
- The procedures for the initiation and termination of store activities, including responsibilities like completing Daily Store Reconciliation (DSR) and the final cash reconciliation process.
- Administering register functions including backup cashier duties, facilitating customer returns, addressing customer grievances, and managing register shift changes, specifically those related to scheduled breaks.
- Safeguarding the welfare and security of both patrons and workers.
- Coping with occasional disruptions to daily business routines, such as handling loiterers, solicitations, emergency weather events, and misuse of restroom facilities.
- Addressing customer concerns based on company regulations, including the use of Structure/Function statements and nutritional support statements when required.
- Unceasing expansion of awareness regarding products.
- Utilizing SAP and inventory management software to handle inventory, analyze BEx reports, send emails, and utilize other IS applications as needed.
- Working a schedule based on store needs which includes evenings, weekends, holidays. Position requires working five days, 40 hours per week and attending mandatory store meetings.
Qualifications of Inventory Manager:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in retail experience in a grocery or retail environment; natural foods background is a plus.
- Individuals with 1-2 years of supervisory experience are preferred.
- Candidates are encouraged to apply if they have 1-2 years of experience in dealing with customer inquiries.
- Receiving forklift certification is a necessary qualification.
- Demonstrating the ability to pass mandatory food safety training programs and certifications, while consistently upholding compliance through the proper maintenance and registration of certifications if required by law.
- Demonstrating adeptness in adjusting to changing priorities while staying committed to the task at hand.
