Night Warehouse Selector

Roles and Duties

• Accurately select customer orders and ensure safe packaging onto pallets. Meet the weekly standards of productivity and accuracy by correctly wrapping the pallets
• Safely operate an electric pallet jack by conducting pre-shift equipment checks before starting work
• Cautiously move products from shelves to pallets based on directions provided by order selecting software and machinery
• Confirm the accuracy of the selected product and its undamaged state
• Promptly move products to the designated dock section and carefully apply shrink wrap to palletized orders
• Team up to rid aisles of clutter, stack unused pallets in aisle slots, and return pallet jacks to the charging area

Physical Requirements

• Proficiency in adapting to working in environments with temperatures varying from cold to hot required
• The responsibility of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling products weighing between 20 to 80 pounds repeatedly, along with moving 1,000 cases of merchandise during each shift

Qualifications:

• Proficient English language skills are required for attending training sessions, engaging in conversations, receiving safety and job-related coaching, understanding labels, and entering information on reports if necessary
• Adept at fulfilling night shifts exceeding 8 hours, typically arranged from Sunday to Thursday, with possible obligations for weekends and holidays
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• It is preferred that candidates have experience selecting sizable orders in a warehouse or distribution center capacity
• Prior knowledge of operating a motorized pallet jack or equivalent equipment is favorable
