Role and Responsibilities:

The Deli Clerk plays a crucial role in creating customer loyalty by delivering excellent service in the deli department. Primary responsibilities include:

• Customer Service: Greet, assist, and thank customers promptly and courteously, attending to their needs continuously.
• Product Knowledge: Offer product suggestions and demonstrate expertise in deli offerings.
• Stocking & Rotation: Stock and rotate products to ensure freshness and proper date control; use supplies efficiently to minimize waste and manage costs.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate deli equipment and tools according to guidelines.
• Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; report any hazards or equipment issues to management immediately.
• Reporting Issues: Notify management of theft, shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property damage, or policy violations.
• Other Duties: Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Capable of understanding and following instructions in English.
• Authorization to work in the United States or eligibility to obtain authorization.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening.
