Role and Responsibilities:

The Grocery Bagging Specialist plays an important role in ensuring a positive shopping experience by delivering fast, accurate, and friendly service at checkout. This role focuses on proper grocery handling, customer assistance, and maintaining an organized front-end environment. Key responsibilities include:

• Greet and thank customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Assist customers by unloading items at checkout and bagging them securely to prevent damage.
• Help load groceries into customer vehicles when requested.
• Retrieve, organize, and return carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas.
• Verify product pricing with store departments as needed.
• Replenish and use front-end supplies responsibly to minimize waste.
• Return misplaced or unwanted products to their proper locations.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized checkout lanes, cart areas, and workstations.
• Report equipment issues, safety hazards, or suspicious behavior to management.
• Assist with loss prevention efforts by reporting theft or policy violations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by store leadership.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must meet the company’s minimum age requirement.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Capable of following written and verbal directions.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic math ability with solid organizational skills.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to both indoor and outdoor conditions while retrieving carts.
