Role and Responsibilities:
The Grocery Bagging Specialist plays an important role in ensuring a positive shopping experience by delivering fast, accurate, and friendly service at checkout. This role focuses on proper grocery handling, customer assistance, and maintaining an organized front-end environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Greet and thank customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Assist customers by unloading items at checkout and bagging them securely to prevent damage.
- Help load groceries into customer vehicles when requested.
- Retrieve, organize, and return carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas.
- Verify product pricing with store departments as needed.
- Replenish and use front-end supplies responsibly to minimize waste.
- Return misplaced or unwanted products to their proper locations.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized checkout lanes, cart areas, and workstations.
- Report equipment issues, safety hazards, or suspicious behavior to management.
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by reporting theft or policy violations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by store leadership.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Must meet the company’s minimum age requirement.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Capable of following written and verbal directions.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to both indoor and outdoor conditions while retrieving carts.
