Pharmacy Customer Associate

Job Summary of Pharmacy Customer Associate:

Collaborate with a pharmacist to ensure quality patient care and exceptional customer service standards. Duties involve precise medication dispensing, prescription oversight, and delivering necessary information and guidance to patients.

Responsibilities of Pharmacy Customer Associate:

• Aid in the process of labeling and filling prescriptions as instructed by the pharmacist
• Aid customers with the drop-off and collection of their medication prescriptions
• Recording prescription information in the system
• Validate that the customer is handed the exact prescription specified by their healthcare provider
• Administering and controlling the task sequence to optimize workflow efficiency
• Prepackage bulk medications;
• Organize and prioritize phone communications for pharmacists
• Medication ordering;
• Billing services for third-party insurers;
• Prepare medication inventories;
• Contributing to the dispensing of medications to individuals not admitted to a hospital
• Assisting inpatient dispensing;
• Purchasing and billing;
• Maintaining computerized records;
• Increasing sales and propelling business progress.

Qualifications of Pharmacy Customer Associate:

• Must have dexterity in hands to be able to scan/key groceries.
• Must have strong communication skills to ensure excellent customer service.
• Strong mathematical skills required to run the registers.
• Must be able to lift up to twenty five (25) pounds up to forty percent (40%) of the time.
• Must be able to stand upright for the majority of your scheduled work shift.
• Works well as a member of a group
• Detail Oriented
• Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
