Job Summary:Clinical Pharmacist
As a Clinical Pharmacist, we will look to you to develop, lead and coach a service conscious pharmacy team who will consistently build relationships with patients by exceeding their needs and providing safe, accurate and efficient patientcare to achieve optimal patient, team member and company outcomes.
Job Qualifications:
- Ideal candidates will have one to three years of experience, with a minimum of one year dedicated to pharmacy work, including at least three months of licensed pharmacist duties
- Individuals with supervisory experience are preferred for this role
- Successful candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree to be considered for this role
- Individuals looking to work in the pharmacy field must possess essential certificates such as immunization certification and licensing, as well as a valid CPR certification and NPI
- Weight lifting capacity: Can handle weights of up to 25 pounds
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support the secure and efficient dispensing of all patient orders by following all quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Illustrate exceptional patient care by valuing, engaging, and eagerly meeting or exceeding all patient needs, such as providing counseling and effectively resolving issues.
- Perform all the duties of a Pharmacist, including but not limited to, interpret, fill and refill prescriptions for medications/durable medical equipment, reviewing all clinical aspects of the prescription; maintaining up to date patient profiles; verifying patient receives accurate medications/durable medical equipment.
- Display adherence to all company, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations through practical guidance and coaching.
- Optimize the teams efficiency and patient satisfaction by planning schedules thoughtfully, delegating tasks strategically, and maximizing the effectiveness of supplies and equipment.
- Maintain inventory efficiency through the monitoring of daily reports, physical inventory assessments, and ensuring the proper handling of medications and supplies to fulfill patient requirements and optimize profits.
- Coordinate efforts with the Supermarket team, which includes the Pharmacy District Leader, Corporate Pharmacy team, Store Leader, and Regional Business Leader, to maximize effectiveness and financial performance.
- Manage, supervise, and coordinate the selection, training, development, evaluation, recognition, and empowerment of staff to ensure continuous engagement of team members and improvement of department services.
- Keep the work environment neat and free of contaminants as required by the company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Examine and interpret the appropriate service and business measures to aid in formulating action plans for better outcomes.
- Carry through all mandated audits and documentation
- Supervise team members directly, offer coaching and feedback following the proper guidelines.
- Implement and sustain a favorable work ambiance that prioritizes the satisfaction and motivation of all team members.
- Offer vaccination services and play an integral role in clinical care to maximize patient health and company results.
- Provide support in training and supervising new team members in the Pharmacy Lead position to equip them with the skills needed to successfully implement all company initiatives and programs.
- Remain informed and keep up to date on the latest developments in the pharmaceutical industry, including new medications and therapies.
- Maintain a high level of professional competency and service skills while advocating for positive change in the pharmacy profession to improve patient care and company performance.
- Establish and reinforce professional connections with external collaborators, including industry representatives and medical professionals.
- Carry out the functions of a Pharmacy Technician as deemed necessary.
