Role and Responsibilities:

As aGrocery Store Associate,You will provide quality customer service within the Center Store (Grocery) Department, maintain standards in accordance with the standard practice manual, maximize sales through excellent customer service, and minimize shrink through proper utilization of standard practice. Your key responsibilities include:

• Deliver fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain clean shelves, shelf tags, and displays in accordance with company standards.
• Stock merchandise from tag to tag, ensuring only saleable products are placed on shelves.
• Follow company guidelines for ordering, receiving, preparing, conditioning, and displaying merchandise.
• Utilize company tools including the Average Cost Inventory System (ACIS) and Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO).
• Adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and standard practices.
• Maintain compliance with Food Safety and Workplace Safety procedures.
• Report and correct unsafe conditions and assist with accident reporting as required.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform and maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Successfully complete Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packets, and Training Aid courses.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to use technical information effectively.
• Must meet minimum age requirements for job functions.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
