Job Summary of Operations Supervisor:

Supervising the store operations as it nears closing time is crucial in maintaining a secure, clean, and well-managed space that enhances the overall customer experience. The Closer collaborates with store leadership to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, manage costs effectively, and oversee activities related to inventory storage and product presentation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Operations Supervisor:

• Handle all necessary store management duties during the final shift of the day.
• Adhere to and enforce stringent guidelines for food safety and sanitation to meet the criteria outlined by federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
• Identify ways to save costs by effectively managing the use of supplies and maintaining equipment appropriately.
• Ensure the grocery backroom is organized and well-kept to enable effective product rotation and improve associate productivity.
• Enforce and put into action the company's sign program, handle weekly merchandise distributions, organize seasonal product displays, restock shelves, and manage the procurement of sale items.
• Foster a positive and protected environment for clients and staff once the business has shut down for the day.

Qualifications and Experience of Operations Supervisor:

• Candidates must possess a high school diploma, with a leaning towards having pursued education beyond that level.
• Ideal candidates will have between 2 to 4 years of experience in managing grocery retail stores.
• Effective in interpersonal communication, decisive thinking, assigning tasks to others, leading a team, and managing disagreements constructively.
• Proficient in adjusting work hours to include evenings as needed.
