Role and Responsibilities of Delivery Truck Operator:

• Safeguard the transportation of products from the central hub to assigned sites.
• Before departing and upon return, inspect the vehicles to guarantee they are safe and operational.
• Develop and stick to itineraries in order to meet designated delivery timelines.
• Validate paperwork for correctness and ensure that orders contain the right number of cases.
• Handle the transfer of goods by employing ramps, pallet jacks, load bars, and similar tools.
• Ensure compliance with DOT guidelines when working with tractor-trailer machinery.
• Convey information in a professional manner when communicating with customers, vendors, and dispatch personnel.
• Make sure to promptly notify authorities of any vehicle issues, safety hazards, or potential dangers.
• Keep the truck organized and ensure timely and precise deliveries are made.

Required Skills and Experience of Delivery Truck Operator:

• Having a valid Class A CDL and a spotless driving record is a requirement.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on involvement with a 53-foot tractor-trailer is mandatory.
• The minimum age requirement is 21 years or above.
• Able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and execute physical delivery assignments.
• Familiarity with DOT rules and practicing secure driving behaviors are crucial elements for professional drivers.
• Being open to working on weekends, nights, and holidays is important.

Preferred Qualifications of Delivery Truck Operator:

• Familiarity with the process of delivering palletized freight from one dock to another.
• Proficient at organizing schedules and mapping out travel plans.
• Firm resolve to prioritize workplace safety and exceptional customer care.
