Job Summary of Night Crew Section Supervisor:

The key task is to manage and lead the Night Crew Department's operations and employees effectively to achieve the Department's objectives, which include sales, profitability, delivering exceptional Customer Experience, and promoting high levels of Associate Engagement, as outlined by the General Store Manager.

Qualifications of Night Crew Section Supervisor:

• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math. Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions. Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 60 lbs. Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine housekeeping duties.
• Ability to climb a ladder to retrieve items from overhead racking and storage areas.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way. Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies.
• Ability to engage and lead Associates to achieve department goals.

Responsibilities of Night Crew Section Supervisor:

• The Associate must meet the minimum qualifications provided and execute the essential functions in adherence to all ShopRite Service Priorities (Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, and Efficiency).
• Execute all duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures, as well as all relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations, specifically in relation to environmental protection, health, safety, and security.
• Perform all tasks in accordance with the Company's HAZCOM regimen and adhere to the manufacturer's recommended label instructions to ensure the safe and proper utilization of chemical substances.
• Ensure the work setting aligns with Department QA standards by keeping it clean, organized, and safe.
• Clearly articulate and consistently execute department and Company safety procedures.
• Obey all safety rules during equipment operation and use the necessary Personal Protective Gear.
• Supervise the appropriate usage of all tools by team members, including Personal Protective Equipment.
• Follow and understand emergency procedures thoroughly. Keep equipment in good working condition and report any problems or maintenance issues to Store Management promptly.
• Ensure that personnel using power equipment (e.g., balers, forklifts, power jacks, cutting machines, etc.) are 18 years old or older. Regularly handle, pull, push, and rotate items weighing 25 pounds, occasionally reaching up to 60 pounds. Unload deliveries and move merchandise to the Night Crew Department, handling items weighing 25 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds. Establish and adhere to a consistent cleaning maintenance plan for the entire department. Prioritize friendliness to enhance the customer experience and boost employee engagement
• Acquire knowledge of and efficiently use the required software and current technology for Night Crew Operations. Validate invoices by matching them with the actual products received.
• Ensure that all records and reports are exact, comprehensive, and stored according to Company guidelines. Ensure the quality of all received products and store them correctly in designated areas. Verify the accuracy of item pricing, item location, and shelf allocation. Adhere to Company policies regarding reclaiming or returning products to stock.
• Adhere to Company policy in executing in-store pricing procedures and transfers accurately, following prescribed protocols.
• Acknowledge and comply with Company shrinkage regulations related to Night Crew Operations. Clearly articulate and consistently enforce departmental and Company policies and protocols. Retain adequate staffing levels to address projected sales and customer service requirements. Accomplish all applicable departmental training programs effectively.
• Follow the schedule by being punctual and consistently attending work, and be ready to work overtime when requested. Execute all responsibilities while adhering to the regulations set forth by the Local, State, and Federal Department of Labor governing employees under 18. Perform any other assigned tasks.
