Supply Receiver

Job Summary of Supply Receiver:

As a Supply Receiver, you will be responsible for accurately receiving and verifying inbound deliveries, as well as ensuring that inventory is properly checked in, documented, and stored. You will keep the receiving area clean and tidy, handle return-to-stock and damaged items in accordance with business policy, and communicate clearly with department teams. You will also help with invoice accuracy, inventory operations, and provide courteous service while dealing with vendors and team members.

Responsibilities of Supply Receiver:

• Receive and unload incoming deliveries in a safe, efficient, and organized manner.
• Verify all invoices for accuracy, including cost, retail, and quantity.
• Ensure product is accurately matched to purchase orders and documentation.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock products in accordance with Company policy.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized receiving area at all times.
• Monitor storage areas for cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety standards.
• Follow all procedures for proper code dating, rotation, and storage of merchandise.
• Assist in tracking inventory discrepancies and reporting variances to appropriate personnel.
• Utilize power or hand jacks, carts, and other equipment as required for receiving and transporting goods.
• Communicate effectively with department managers to ensure proper handling and distribution of received items.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when operating equipment or handling merchandise.
• Complete all applicable training programs and maintain knowledge of company receiving procedures.
• Perform duties in accordance with ShopRite Service Priorities (Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, and Efficiency).
• Work cooperatively with others and support store operations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications of Supply Receiver:

• Operators of balers, hi-lo's, power jacks, and other equipment must have reached the age of 18.
• The competence to interpret, analyze, and express ideas in English is a valuable skill set.
• Proficiency in basic mathematical operations.
• Capacity to remain standing or walking throughout the entire assigned work schedule.
• Key qualifications include the ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and lift objects weighing 25 lbs regularly, with the capacity to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in operating efficiently in fluctuating temperature environments, like refrigerated storage areas.
• Competence in dealing with fresh, dried, or processed items, spices, and powdered substances without facing any negative outcomes.
• Capacity to endure dust and cleaning agents while conducting everyday cleaning tasks in the home.
• Skill in engaging with clients and suppliers with professionalism and a helpful attitude.
• Displaying the skill to cooperate effectively with colleagues and follow designated work schedules.
