Job Summary of Online Fulfillment Associate:

The primary duties of an Online Fulfillment Associate at ShopRite involve ensuring a superior customer experience by managing orders placed on the store's website, from selecting products to addressing any customer inquiries, bagging items, organizing them in totes, storing them correctly, invoicing the purchases, transferring them to customers' vehicles, and processing payments. This role requires the individual to accurately pick, package, and prepare customer online orders for pickup or delivery, maintaining promptness, quality, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications of Online Fulfillment Associate:

• Competence in English involves the ability to fluently read, write, speak, interpret, and analyze the language.
• Competence in elementary mathematical calculations.
• Required to stand and walk for the duration of the scheduled work shift. Must be able to remain upright, bend, rotate, extend, apply pressure, tug, carry 25 lbs. frequently, and handle 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Proficiency in working with fresh, dried, or processed goods, spices, and powdered materials without suffering from allergic outcomes
• Capability to withstand dust and chemicals while carrying out everyday household chores.
• Understanding of how to perform in diverse temperature settings. Capability to communicate with customers in a kind and supportive approach.
• Capability to engage in teamwork harmoniously.
• Proficiency in completing all designated work shifts and abiding by regulations concerning timeliness and attendance.

Responsibilities of Online Fulfillment Associate:

• Precisely distinguish items from diverse departments. Have a proficiency in choosing high-grade perishable products
• Possess the skill to offer alternative options when a specific product is no longer in stock.
• This requires excellent communication skills via phone & in person. Accurately select and organize Customer's items efficiently.
• Efficiently ensuring customer orders are safely stored and organized.
• Organize the workspace for the selection process to ensure efficiency. Combine the filled totes to make them ready for customer pick-up or delivery. Place emphasis on storing temperature-controlled totes in the designated cooler area.
• When exporting, it involves managing a wide range of payment methods such as cash, credit transactions, checks, EBT transactions, WIC benefits, rain checks, coupons, vouchers, gift cards, and more.
• Properly manage payments and dispense accurate change, adept at handling all forms of American currency.
• Have a grasp of how the cash register operates and adhere to all guidelines for cash management as required.
• Organize paperwork to conclude a customer's transaction and file correctly. Set up workspace for the selection process.
• A requirement for Online Shopping Clerks is to be prepared and competent in executing tasks such as selecting, consolidating, and exporting, along with all the general duties assigned to the department.
• Extend a friendly greeting to every client and ensure they receive quick, respectful service.
• Have awareness of the diverse array of products stocked in the store. Be well-informed about the choosing mechanisms and software utilized.
• Handle every item in a customer's order with care to maintain top-notch quality. Lift, maneuver, and reposition merchandise weighing 25 lbs, occasionally reaching 50 lbs.
• Ensure prices are accurate and have a good understanding of where products are located in the store. Inform customers about any ongoing charitable promotions to drive sales.
• Be on your feet during the entire scheduled work period, which could extend beyond 8 hours each day. Comprehend and follow Company protocols for minimizing shrinkage in Online Shopping Department activities.
• Ensure that the workspace remains clean, orderly, and free from hazards.
• Maintain cleanliness standards by sanitizing work surfaces, utensils, and tools according to Department of Sanitation and QA requirements, while also keeping the floor free of any obstructions or liquid mess.
• Abide by all the regulations set forth by the Federal, State, and Local authorities regarding the operation of the Online Shopping service.
• Conduct all responsibilities in alignment with the regulations, policies, safety protocols, and security standards set forth by the Company, alongside adhering to health and civil code regulations stipulated by Local, State, and Federal authorities.
• Follow the company's policy on dressing and grooming, which involves complying with the uniform requirements, wearing the designated name badge, and using a hat or appropriate hair covering.
• Adhere to the QA policies for hand hygiene and utilize disposable gloves when working with food. Comply with the Company's HAZCOM regulations and carefully follow the manufacturer's guidance provided on chemical labels for the appropriate handling of products.
• Adhere to department protocols for utilizing and managing equipment, reporting faults promptly. Ensure completion of all relevant departmental training courses. Conduct all responsibilities in alignment with ShopRite's Service Priorities, encompassing Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, and Efficiency.
• Ensure you are punctual and maintain consistent attendance at work. Be willing to put in overtime as required and cooperate with your team members.
• Individuals must be of legal age to operate compactors, elevated work platforms, motorized pallet trucks, and cutting equipment specified. Carry out any other assigned responsibilities.
