Night Shift Assistant

Job Summary of Night Shift Assistant:

Responsibilities include supervising the pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise in the grocery area, maintaining tidy shelves, keeping products fully stocked, and ensuring they are fresh and appropriately labeled for customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities of Night Shift Assistant:

• Assist in unloading the merchandise.
• Transport stock for storage to stock areas.
• Open cartons and price items (if needed) accurately.
• Keep store shelves fully stocked according to tag allocations.
• Assist in building store displays.
• Keep perishable merchandise rotated and pull out-of-code product as needed.
• Control level of damaged goods.
• Properly present assigned section prior to leaving at the end of scheduled work shift.
• Observe policies and procedures established for each department.
• Greet customers who come into the store and be observant.
• Maintain a neat appearance according to the company's dress code policy.
• Abid by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
• Maintenance of price and protection program.
• Housekeeping of sales and back room areas.
• Assist with front-end service when needed.

Qualifications of Night Shift Assistant:

• Proficient at reading and writing to correctly identify products, track inventory levels, and manage the rotation of goods.
• Proficient in moving, transporting, and arranging products in designated regions.
• The act of top racking is anticipated to encompass a portion of about 20% of the work period engaged in the aisles.
• Should be able to handle lifting up to 70 pounds for at least 40% of the job.
• Mastery in following written and verbal instructions.
