Role and Responsibilities of Perishable Foods Associate:

As a Perishable Foods Associate, it is essential to uphold quality standards, deliver excellent customer service, and contribute to sales expansion while minimizing waste. Your duties consist of cultivating a welcoming shopping atmosphere, adhering to company protocols, and guaranteeing adherence to food safety regulations.

  • Uphold a setting of energetic customer attention while emphasizing prompt, amiable, and precise assistance.
  • Offer friendly and valuable assistance to colleagues.
  • Utilize tools offered by the company like the Average Cost Inventory System (ACIS) and ordering systems such as Computer-Assisted Ordering (CAO).
  • Be in charge of accepting shipments, identifying items that require coding, ensuring product rotation, and organizing them in appropriate storage locations.
  • Make sure that the procedures for arranging, accepting, readying, organizing, and showcasing products adhere to the guidelines set by the company.
  • Ensure appropriate stock quantities in meat, deli meats, frozen goods, dairy products, and ice cream.
  • Follow the instructions from the designated production tool to prepare and grind beef accordingly.
  • Prepare, tag, measure, and store meat as necessary.
  • Grinders should be put together, taken apart, and maintained by cleaning when required.
  • Ensure the department is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized while upholding the required layout and diversity norms.
  • Make sure that advertising and promotional content adhere to regulations.
  • Adhere to all regulations, protocols, and conventional procedures set forth by Food Lion.
  • Follow the regulations outlined for both food safety and workplace safety protocols.
  • Spot, rectify, and communicate hazardous situations to the Manager in charge.
  • Ensure adherence to regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • It is important to be dressed in the Food Lion attire, including an apron and a name badge, while ensuring a tidy and polished look.
  • Finish the necessary training, which encompasses Computer Based Training (CBT) and Training Packets.
  • Carry out additional tasks as required.
