Responsibilities:

The primary duty assigned to the Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market involves:

• Aiding patrons in selecting nutritious food options by crafting convenient and wholesome dishes
• Ensuring top-tier customer service and maintaining the proper preparation, packaging, and presentation of Deli products, while also upholding cleanliness standards in the Deli department
• Managing the stocking, upkeep, and reorganization of merchandise and showcases
• Planning customized orders and assembling festive platters
• Using deli equipment such as meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, knives, scales, and other tools in accordance with the established guidelines and protocols of the company
• Ensuring the deli area and equipment are spotless, secure, and hygienic involves tasks such as tidying shelves and products, maintaining spill-free floors, discarding potentially dangerous debris from the ground, and sweeping
• Verifying, examining, and recording items to ensure the precision of delivery, conditions of storage, and standard of merchandise

Qualifications:

In order to work as a Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, certain requirements need to be met:

• To apply, individuals must be over 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, along with prior employment in groceries, dining establishments, or a similar industry. Alternatively, a suitable blend of educational background and work experience will be considered.

• The requirement is to be capable of remaining on feet continuously for a maximum of 4 hours and a total of 8 hours during one shift.
• Complete routine departmental cleaning duties, ensuring all surfaces are tidy and hygienic through sanitation.
• Monitor the slicer, wrapping, and cooking machinery; aid in the upkeep of all equipment to ensure they operate safely.
• Comply with safety, health, and Weights and Measures guidelines, and acquire and uphold a Food Handlers certification
• Have the capability to function effectively in varying temperature conditions, such as colder storage areas and freezer units.
• Additional responsibilities as required.
