Responsibilities of Meat Clerk:
- Stay informed about all store products and weekly promotions and collaborate with different store sections to help customers locate items and create meal options
- Skillfully handle, carve, slice, and trim an assortment of high-quality meats and seafood in the department, as well as prepare ingredients for convenient ready-to-cook meal options, all while ensuring compliance with TFM quality guidelines
- Keep track of the heat levels in instances, overflows, and storage zones
- Uphold and adhere to department protocols for receiving, stocking, and unloading shipments of goods in order to maintain their freshness and quality, which encompasses handling items in cases, coolers, freezers, and on the sales floor
- Guarantee department compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines, encompassing food safety, in accordance with TFM standards and legal obligations
Qualifications of Meat Clerk:
- All Meat Clerks are required to obtain certification through The Fresh Market's internal training system within three months of starting employment.
- Possessing at least two years of expertise in meat slicing
- Being a legal adult is a requirement
