Job Summary:

As a Pharmacy Clerk, we will look to you to develop, lead and coach a service conscious pharmacy team who will consistently build relationships with patients by exceeding their needs and providing safe, accurate and efficient patientcare to achieve optimal patient, team member and company outcomes.

Essential Skills:

• This position requires one to three years of experience, with a specific requirement of one year in the field of pharmacy, including at least three months of licensed pharmacist responsibilities
• Preferred candidates will have a demonstrated history of leading teams
• A Bachelor's Degree is a prerequisite educational background for this opportunity
• Pharmacist candidates need to fulfill certain prerequisites like securing immunization certification, holding a valid CPR certification, obtaining a license, and registering for an NPI
• Weight lifting criteria: Maximum load set at 25 pounds

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and contribute to the safe and efficient processing of all patient orders by following all quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Exemplify top-tier patient care by showing respect, involvement, and wholeheartedly addressing all patient requirements, including providing guidance and swiftly solving problems.
• Perform all the duties of a Pharmacist, including but not limited to, interpret, fill and refill prescriptions for medications/durable medical equipment, reviewing all clinical aspects of the prescription; maintaining up to date patient profiles; verifying patient receives accurate medications/durable medical equipment.
• Exhibit strict compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements at state and federal levels through coaching and leading by example.
• Create an environment conducive to optimal care and teamwork by coordinating schedules effectively, delegating tasks appropriately, and ensuring the efficient use of resources.
• Supervise inventory operations by monitoring daily reports, overseeing physical inventory counts, and ensuring the proper management of medications and provisions to meet patient needs and enhance profitability.
• Engage and align strategies with the Supermarket team, inclusive of the Pharmacy District Leader, Corporate Pharmacy team, Store Leader, and Regional Business Leader, to achieve optimal efficiency and profitability.
• Guide, supervise, and oversee the selection, instruction, growth, evaluation, recognition, and empowerment of employees to promote continual engagement and enhancement of departmental services.
• Adhere to cleanliness protocols to uphold the standards set by the company and governmental regulations.
• Evaluate and analyze the relevant service and business metrics to contribute to strategies for improving performance.
• Accomplish all stipulated audits and paperwork
• Offer direct supervision by providing coaching and feedback to team members in accordance with appropriate guidelines.
• Curate and sustain a positive environment at work that caters to the needs and happiness of the entire team.
• Deliver vaccines and actively participate in clinical services to optimize patient well-being and company performance.
• Help guide and educate new team members in the Pharmacy Lead role to enable them to effectively lead and carry out all company initiatives and programs.
• Stay current and knowledgeable about new drugs, treatments, and advancements in the pharmacy field.
• Preserve professional skills and service competence while championing positive developments in the pharmacy field to enhance patient care and corporate outcomes.
• Forge and uphold strong professional relationships with external partners, such as physicians, nurses, and medical assistants.
• Execute the obligations of a Pharmacy Technician as outlined.
