Role and Responsibilities:

As a Seafood Clerk, you will play an important role in building customer trust and loyalty by delivering courteous service, maintaining high operating standards, and ensuring a positive shopping environment in the seafood department. You will be responsible for keeping products fresh, properly stocked, and displayed in a safe, clean setting. Key responsibilities include:

• Greet, assist, and thank customers promptly with professionalism and courtesy.
• Provide product recommendations to enhance the customer experience.
• Stock and rotate seafood products to ensure freshness and accurate date control.
• Use supplies efficiently to minimize waste and control costs.
• Operate seafood department tools and equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area; promptly report faulty equipment or safety issues to management.
• Report theft, shoplifting, unauthorized discounts, property damage, or any policy violations immediately to management.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain such authorization.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform tasks related to stocking, rotating, and maintaining seafood displays.
