Role and Responsibilities:
The Grocery Stocker is responsible for ensuring a clean, organized, and well-stocked department while delivering friendly and efficient customer service. Key responsibilities include:
- Greet, assist, and thank customers promptly, courteously, and professionally.
- Offer product recommendations to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Stock, rotate, and maintain grocery, general merchandise, dairy, and frozen food items to ensure freshness and proper date control.
- Efficiently replenish shelves, minimize waste, and control supply costs.
- Safely and effectively operate department tools and equipment.
- Assist with receiving vendor deliveries and unloading trucks in a timely manner.
- Stay alert to theft, shoplifting, unauthorized discounts, or property damage and promptly report concerns to management.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures related to operations and customer service.
Qualifications:
- Must meet minimum age requirements in accordance with company and legal standards.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain authorization.
- Successful completion of background screening and pre-employment drug testing.
- Preferred: Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and accountability.
