Role and Responsibilities:

The Grocery Stocker is responsible for ensuring a clean, organized, and well-stocked department while delivering friendly and efficient customer service. Key responsibilities include:

• Greet, assist, and thank customers promptly, courteously, and professionally.
• Offer product recommendations to enhance the customer shopping experience.
• Stock, rotate, and maintain grocery, general merchandise, dairy, and frozen food items to ensure freshness and proper date control.
• Efficiently replenish shelves, minimize waste, and control supply costs.
• Safely and effectively operate department tools and equipment.
• Assist with receiving vendor deliveries and unloading trucks in a timely manner.
• Stay alert to theft, shoplifting, unauthorized discounts, or property damage and promptly report concerns to management.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures related to operations and customer service.

Qualifications:

• Must meet minimum age requirements in accordance with company and legal standards.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain authorization.
• Successful completion of background screening and pre-employment drug testing.
• Preferred: Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and accountability.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, lift, and carry various items.
• Exposure to changing temperatures depending on the department, including refrigerated and frozen sections.
