At the storefront, engaging in the sale of products and aiding patrons with their transactions at the cash register.
Working on the sales floor in the Meat/Frozen section, Produce/Dairy section, and Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment & Supply section
Restocking merchandise and refreshing inventory across all sections.
You are also able to lend a hand during exclusive store functions like Vendor Fairs, retail space reorganizations, and stocktaking procedures.
Duties And Responsibilities
Front End:
Guarantee that every customer has an outstanding experience at CHEF'STORE by fostering and optimizing connections with the store's clientele. Apply all the techniques and expertise acquired during the CHEF'STORE Way training and exhibit the recommended conduct within the establishment.
Execute sales and monetary transactions on the point of sale system accurately and promptly. Tasks involve scanning items using a handheld scanner or the 10-key pad, weighing goods using countertop scales if needed, and searching for products that do not scan properly. Verify that the system correctly registers each item's barcode and notify the Front End Lead or Manager of Day (MOD) of any inconsistencies.
Execute the transfer of all items from one shopping cart to another during the checkout process, while also conducting a visual examination to detect any signs of tampering with the products.
Carry out responsibilities as a receipt monitor; confirming the items in the shopping cart match the items purchased as customers exit the store.
Execute opening and closing duties at the front of the store according to the designated schedule.
Sales Floor And Stocking:
Maintain a consistent emphasis on enhancing revenue generation and overseeing inventory loss. Collaborate with clients to guarantee their access to desired goods and inform them about additional services provided at the establishment.
Assist in accepting inventory deliveries and organizing and restocking shelves in a tidy manner, along with monitoring product quality and ensuring proper rotation. Notify store management of any shortages in stock levels.
Make sure all products have correct labels, which involves tagging undetectable items with a blaster, putting weight labels on products sold by the pound, and attaching PLU tags to fruits and vegetables.
Replenish the sales floor on a daily basis by transferring goods from the top stock to the shelves. Prioritize bringing down the oldest products first and arrange them following the FIFO method. Replace any depleted products as required. Utilize reach trucks and pallet jacks for handling and stocking items.
Make use of computer applications like Microsoft Word and Excel, along with any specific software required.
Make sure that all items are readily reachable, aesthetically pleasing, and consistently in stock.
Support with adjustments to prices as instructed by the Pricing Supervisor and Retail Management.
Support with the initial and final responsibilities required for the store's operations.
Be involved in the inventory and cycle count procedures as required.

Maintain the cleanliness of the sales floor, front area, and restroom facilities by using appropriate cleaning tools and equipment.
Maintain the tidiness of the parking lot and entrance to the store.
Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and cart stations, then return them to the assigned collection point while confirming their cleanliness and functionality.
