Job Summary of Bakery Associate:

A Bakery Associate is employed in the bakery section of a store or retail establishment, tasked with creating, baking, and perfecting an assortment of baked treats like bread, pastries, cakes, and sweets.Their duties revolve around maintaining the regular baking schedule while upholding the standards of product excellence, freshness, and an attractive display for clients.

Responsibilities of Bakery Associate:

• Adhere to and comply with all company policies and existing protocols.
• Always present yourself in a tidy and well-kempt manner and adhere to the guidelines regarding personal grooming.
• Support in specific assignments and carry out additional tasks as directed by management.
• Offer support in instructing fellow colleagues once designated and qualified.
• Keep effective communication channels open within the department and across the organization.
• Adhere to the management planning parameters within our organization to ensure ongoing efficiency levels.
• Uphold the safety protocols established by the company. Notify management of any necessary repairs or maintenance required for equipment. Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.

• Follow the company's protocols to wash, tidy, and disinfect equipment appropriately
• Enhance familiarity with the range of products available in the Bakery Department, including rolls, pastries, cakes, muffins, bagels, coffees, platters, and more.
• Monitor and uphold the cleanliness and food safety protocols established by the company.
• Carry out any additional tasks as required.

Physical Requirements of Bakery Associate:

• Engage in continuous gripping, pinching, squeezing, and arm movements while predominantly standing or walking throughout the work shift.
• Lifting weights of up to 30 lbs. is required 40% of the time, with occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
• Occasionally, lift weights up to 20 lbs at shoulder level or overhead.
• Be able to withstand working in exceptionally high or low temperatures for periods of up to 20 minutes.
• Utilize their hands for operating mechanisms and sensing items, as well as employing implements for product preparation.
• Possess the ability to manage a diverse range of substances linked to cleaning supplies, packaging items, and food goods.
