Role and Responsibilities:
The Deli Associate is responsible for building customer loyalty by providing exceptional service in the deli department. Key responsibilities include:
Customer Service: Greet, assist, and thank customers promptly and courteously, providing continuous attention to customer needs.
Product Knowledge: Offer product suggestions and demonstrate knowledge of deli offerings.
Stocking & Rotation: Stock and rotate products to ensure freshness and proper date control; efficiently use supply items to minimize waste and costs.
Equipment Operation: Operate deli equipment and tools safely and effectively.
Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area; report faulty equipment and hazards to management immediately.
Reporting Issues: Notify management of theft, shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property defacement, or any violations of company policy.
Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Experience:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
