Role and Responsibilities:

The Retail Cashier plays an important role in creating a positive customer experience by ensuring transactions are fast, accurate, and courteous. This position upholds financial accuracy at the checkout and provides dependable service that builds customer trust and loyalty. Key responsibilities include:

• Customer Service: Welcome, assist, and thank customers promptly and politely; address or escalate concerns to management; and communicate specials or promotions as needed.
• Cash Register Operation: Process transactions accurately using the scanning system; operate cashier equipment; accept all forms of payment; issue correct change; and support training of new cashiers when required.
• Product Stocking and Maintenance: Stock and organize front-end products; return unwanted or misplaced items to the appropriate department; manage carts; and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly checkout area.
• Loss Prevention & Compliance: Report theft, shoplifting, unauthorized discounts, or other violations; and follow all safety, security, and service policies.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must meet the company’s minimum age and legal requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Capable of understanding and following written and verbal instructions.
• Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain authorization.
• Successful completion of background screening and pre-employment drug testing.
