Job Summary:
This role supports pharmacy operations within a behavioral health and specialty pharmacy setting. Responsibilities include dispensing medications, managing inventory, performing clerical duties, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure patients receive accurate and timely pharmaceutical care. The position contributes to a coordinated care team focused on improving patient outcomes and adherence to treatment plans.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Receive, store, and manage pharmacy supplies and medication inventory.
- Process medication orders from wholesalers and maintain accurate records in pharmacy systems.
- Support compliance with all federal and state regulations governing pharmacy operations.
- Perform clerical duties related to pharmacy operations, including documentation and reporting.
- Provide professional and courteous service to patients, consumers, and clinic staff.
- Occasionally deliver medications to residences, healthcare facilities, or clinics when required, with mileage reimbursement.
- Collaborate with the pharmacist to maintain a safe, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Connecticut.
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Preferred: National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Preferred: Minimum of six months of experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Salary:
- Hourly pay ranging from $16.00 to $28.27, based on experience, certifications, and local labor market factors.
