In the role of Assistant Department Manager, you will work alongside the Produce-Floral Manager to supervise inventory levels, ensure accurate pricing, conduct training sessions, and manage operational processes that require careful attention. Responsibilities of Assistant Department Manager:

• Coordinating procurement activities in alignment with the Produce-Floral Manager for fresh produce
• Extending a friendly welcome to guests and aiding them proactively with timely and precise information
• Proposing options and satisfying requirements
• Monitoring order guides and adjusting them accordingly can enhance efficiency in the supply chain
• Replenishing inventory levels by receiving and stocking goods in adherence to rotation standards
• Be available to help the Assistant Floral Manager with tasks in the floral department as required
• Encourage, empower, and educate team members through on-the-job training and The Fresh Market's internal training system to promote exceptional guest care in a secure environment

Qualifications of Assistant Department Manager:

• Demonstrated expertise acquired through more than three years of experience in the retail, restaurant, or hospitality domain
• Over a year of leadership experience
• A solid understanding of Microsoft Office tools is beneficial for completing tasks efficiently
• One needs to be of at least 18 years of age
