Role and Responsibilities of Transportation Operator:

• Safely deliver products from the distribution center to assigned addresses.
• Check vehicles before departure and upon arrival to confirm their operational status and safety.
• Arrange and pursue paths to achieve delivery schedules within the specified timeframes.
• Analyze documents for accuracy and double-check orders to confirm the precise number of cases.
• Efficiently manage the loading and unloading of merchandise by utilizing ramps, pallet jacks, load bars, and related tools.
• Meet DOT compliance standards during the operation of tractor-trailer equipment.
• Conduct oneself professionally when communicating with customers, vendors, and dispatch teams.
• Notify authorities promptly of any issues related to vehicle safety, malfunctions, or potential risks.
• Upkeep the cleanliness and organization of the truck for timely and accurate deliveries.

Required Skills and Experience of Transportation Operator:

• The position necessitates a Class A CDL, a safe driving track record, and a clear MVR.
• The incumbent must have a history of operating a 53-foot tractor-trailer for at least two years.
• Only individuals of 21 years or more are allowed.
• Competent in lifting up to 50 lbs. and executing tasks involving physical deliveries.
• Awareness of DOT requirements and the utilization of cautious driving techniques are paramount for all individuals operating a vehicle.
• Preparedness to work on weekends, nights, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications of Transportation Operator:

• Understanding of the logistics involved in delivering palletized freight between docks.
• Aptitude in time allocation and strategic planning of itineraries.
• Firm dedication to ensuring workplace safety and exceeding customer expectations.
