Bakery Worker

Job Summary of Bakery Worker:

Supporting the proper functioning and administration of the Bakery Department. A Bakery Worker provides top-notch customer service by supporting shoppers and managing the bakery section's daily operations. Responsibilities consist of preparing, packaging, labeling, and restocking various baked goods like bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.

Responsibilities of Bakery Worker:

• Keep shelves presentable and appropriately filled.
• Ensure product freshness by assigning expiration codes to all items and promptly removing any products that have passed their expiration date each day.
• Correctly label and price all products in a neat and understandable way.
• Comply with the prescribed cleaning and sanitation measures as per the company's policies.
• Sustain cordial customer relations by offering timely and courteous customer service.
• Acknowledge all guests with a warm welcome and be vigilant of the surroundings.
• Observe and adhere to all the company policies as detailed in the official handbook for employees.
• Respond to phone calls and manage individualized orders.
• Support in the production of baked items.
• Assist customers in placing a cake order by providing guidance and recommendations.
• Assist in the proper handling and storage of newly received products.

Qualifications of Bakery Worker:

• Must have strong communication skills to provide adequate customer service.
• Must have dexterity in hands to wrap and package products.
• Must be able to read and write to properly tag and price the products.
• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds as needed.
