Position Summary:
As a Merchandising Lead at Sam’s Club, you will provide exceptional member service while overseeing merchandising standards, product presentation, and sales floor operations. This role supports management by supervising associates, ensuring compliance with company policies, and driving member satisfaction through strong leadership and teamwork.
What You’ll Do:
Member Service
Greet members, identify their needs, and provide guidance on purchases and self-service technology.
Resolve member issues, answer questions, and promote Sam’s Club products and services.
Team Leadership
Assign duties to associates, communicate goals, and provide ongoing feedback.
Train, mentor, and coach associates on processes, service techniques, and compliance.
Participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
Merchandising & Store Operations
Receive and stock merchandise from distribution centers and vendors.
Organize, zone, and maintain the sales floor to meet company standards.
Handle claims, returns, and damaged goods while securing high-shrink merchandise.
Set up displays, price and sign merchandise, and ensure accurate product presentation.
Safety & Compliance
Conduct safety sweeps and enforce safety procedures, including forklift spotting and hazardous material handling.
Report and correct unsafe conditions to maintain a safe facility.
Food & Merchandise Quality
Monitor product rotation, code dating, recalls, and sanitation procedures.
Maintain standards across all departments to ensure quality and freshness.
Club Pickup & Fulfillment
Oversee order picking and staging to ensure accurate and timely member pickup.
Process Improvement & Team Collaboration
Partner with managers, coworkers, and business partners to meet business needs.
Analyze performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions.
Lead by example, adapt to change, and support associates through new challenges.

Compensation and Benefits
Hourly Wage Range: $21.00 – $29.00*
*Actual pay will equal or exceed applicable minimum wage.
Premium Pay: $0.35 – $3.00 per hour depending on schedule, role, or season (multiple premiums may apply).

Minimum Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older.
6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Leadership or supervisory experience (hiring, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates).
Experience managing merchandising operations, inventory, and product presentation.
