Role and Responsibilities:

As a Retail Stocker, you will be responsible for maintaining a well-stocked, organized, and clean grocery department that delivers a positive shopping experience for every customer. Your primary duties include:

• Unload product shipments and move items to their designated storage locations.
• Restock shelves according to store planograms to ensure accurate product placement.
• Use the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to rotate inventory and maintain freshness.
• Label products with correct prices and ensure all signage is clear and accurate.
• Keep displays neat, organized, and visually appealing for customers.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management when restocking is required.
• Conduct inventory checks and organize backstock efficiently.
• Remove expired, damaged, or recalled products as needed.
• Assist customers with product inquiries and provide friendly service.
• Maintain clear and safe aisles to ensure a hazard-free shopping environment.
• Stay updated on store promotions, seasonal items, and inventory changes.
• Clean and sanitize shelving, displays, and storage areas regularly.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting and equipment use.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to management immediately.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors about inventory and store needs.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in retail, grocery, or stocking roles preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic math skills for labeling and inventory management.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Attention to detail and the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
