Starbucks Barista

Job Summary:

As a Barista, you play a key role in ensuring that every guest receives their orders promptly, accurately, and with a smile. Your exceptional service and passion for coffee help create a memorable experience for each customer. You are a team player who understands that your success is tied to the success of those around you, and you're eager to be part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize safety for yourself, your team members, and guests, following food safety and safety guidelines.
• Properly handle products and equipment according to food safety standards.
• Deliver exceptional guest service, striving to surprise and delight guests, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Take and deliver drink orders to customers as directed, and check back in with them during their visit to ensure they have everything needed for the best experience.
• Demonstrate a commitment to learning about coffee and sharing that knowledge with fellow team members and customers.
• Use your product knowledge to help customers choose drinks that suit their preferences.
• Share your passion for coffee by cultivating a culture of excitement and knowledge.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to promote menu items.
• Provide sampling opportunities when appropriate.
• Troubleshoot and solve any order or delivery issues with a positive attitude, and escalate to the Lead on duty if necessary.
• Actively promote an inclusive and respectful environment for team members, customers, vendors, and the community.

Experience & Qualifications:

• 0 to 6 months of experience required.
• Prior experience in a restaurant or related field desired.
• Experience with fresh food preparation is helpful.
• Experience with Bailer or compactor is a plus (only if age-appropriate).
• No high school diploma required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
