Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

Join H-E-B's Industrial Facility Services team as a Building & Grounds Industrial Maintenance Partner, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our manufacturing and warehouse facilities. You will ensure that our buildings, mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical circuits, and fire systems operate safely and efficiently. Using your technical skills and attention to detail, you'll support our mission to be a world-class maintenance organization driven by innovation, technology, and a commitment to safety and reliability. Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement tasks across building systems including plumbing, doors, walls, flooring, and dock areas.
• Conduct mechanical repairs and installations involving power transmission equipment, bearings, belts, drives, sheaves, and sprockets.
• Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics to adjust and maintain flow control and pressure in these systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment according to skill level.
• Repair and maintain fire suppression wet systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical circuits (120/277 VAC) used in lighting and equipment while following safety protocols.
• Assist in office remodel projects and other facility improvements.
• Follow all safety regulations and company procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
• Manage multiple maintenance priorities with strong organization and communication.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, welding, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, or construction trades.
• Working knowledge of 3-phase AC voltage (480 VAC), use of amp meters, multimeters, and application of Ohm's law.
• Familiarity with sprockets, bearings, v-belts, drive belts, and sheaves.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask and maintain keen attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with initiative to learn and grow.

Salary:

Hourly wages typically range from $20 to $28, depending on experience and location, with additional overtime opportunities.
