Role and Responsibilities:

The Grocery Associate plays a key role in providing courteous and prompt service, maintaining organized and clean departments, and ensuring consistent operating conditions. Responsibilities include:

• Greet, assist, and thank customers promptly, courteously, and in a friendly manner.
• Offer product suggestions to enhance the customer shopping experience.
• Stock and rotate grocery, general merchandise, dairy, and frozen food items to ensure freshness and date control.
• Restock shelves efficiently, minimizing waste and maintaining low supply costs.
• Operate department equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Assist in receiving vendor merchandise and unloading truck deliveries in a timely manner.
• Maintain awareness of associate theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property defacement, or any illegal activities and report them to management.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding store operations and customer service.

Qualifications:

• Meet legal and company policy age requirements to perform job functions.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently, and follow English instructions.
• Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain the same.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• Preferred: High standard of integrity and reliability.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, and carry or lift various loads.
• Exposure to varying temperatures depending on the department, including refrigerated and frozen areas.
