Role and Responsibilities:

Being a Bakery Specialist entails the task of managing the daily procedures related to bread and bakery creation to secure uniformity, high standards, and productivity. Collaboration with team members is key to sustaining efficient operations while following safety and cleanliness guidelines.

• Utilize scales to ensure precise measurements while following the appropriate order when mixing dough.
• Adhere to predetermined recipes and timelines when dividing, shaping, proofing, and baking bread and other confectioneries.
• Grasp and comply with all cooking recipes, directives, and scheduling requirements.
• Uphold the cleanliness of work zones, mixers, tools, and machinery.
• Make use of PLUs, UPC codes, and Globalbake software to facilitate recipe printing tasks.
• Properly handle and clean bakery equipment such as mixers, chillers, and dispensers to maintain a safe working environment.
• It is important to follow guidelines like FSMA, HACCP, health standards, sanitation protocols, and organic requirements.
• Meet training obligations, attend meetings, and adhere to PPE and scheduling mandates.

Requisite Abilities and Background:

• Individuals must have reached the age of 18 and be able to read and communicate in elementary English.
• Skill in benchwork production and the art of crafting bread.
• Comprehensive grasp of baking supplies, utensils, and gauging.
• Sound grasp of math concepts and the capability to make rapid mental calculations.
• Essential comprehension of computer functions and software applications, which can encompass familiarity with Globalbake.
• Proficient in effective communication and organizational efficiency.
• Aptitude for sampling and appraising the quality of goods through the sense of taste.
• Able to function effectively whether working independently or as a member of a team with little supervision.
• Possess the physical capacity to lift weights up to 50 pounds, stand or walk continuously for 8 hours, and carry out tasks such as bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
• Proficient in working in conditions with temperatures reaching from negative 10 degrees Fahrenheit to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Preparedness to embrace flexible work hours that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active participation with Hobart mixers, compactors, cutting tools, and baking equipment.
• Possessing a strong resolve to overcome obstacles through innovative problem-solving capabilities and a proactive mindset.

Compensation and Benefits:
